A Vow to Fury
Hello visitor! As of right now, I have closed distribution for the first edition of my novel. The first edition was a semi-rushed high school project, and I have grown a lot as a writer since then. I want my novel to reflect my current skill level. I plan on releasing a second edition in 2021!

Book Synopsis
Can Repana, a tribal woman just seventeen-years- old, care for a dragon's egg?
Repana has always been an outcast in her tribe: she is the only tribal to continue the worship of dragons. Her fellow tribe members ridicule her for her religion, claiming that the dragons abandoned them long ago when not one dragon had appeared to rescue the tribals from the oppression of the aggressive Casprallos…
A dying mother dragon, shot from the sky and discovered by Repana, bestows upon the young tribal the task of raising one of her eggs. Repana, strong in her faith, unhesitantly promises to protect the egg -- but she doesn't know that this is the exact egg the Casprallo's king is scouring the land to find, an egg that will hatch a dragon far more powerful than any dragon alive...
Will Repana be able to raise it on her own? Will she be able to protect the egg from the dragon's enemies?

The trail of uprooted grass and fallen trees led to a huge creature, crumpled on the ground. Rey stood steadfast, staring at the green-scaled beast -- see, I told you it wasn't a tiger. Rey squinted in order to get a better view of the beast, the sun directly above her reflecting off the creature's scales. It lay on its side, soft, yellow belly exposed, with one wing jutting straight into the air, completely broken at the joint. Its flesh was a deep red, with splinters jutting out from the skin. Blood ran around the creature, seeping into the dirt, a few green scales dancing throughout the red sea. The beast's legs laid limp, its feet still clinging to the dirt, golden claws buried. The creature must have fallen from the sky, knocking trees over as it scrambled to grab a hold of the ground. Rey looked to its broken wing; it must have snapped against a tree, suggested by the splinters. When did this happen? How had she not heard it?
And then the realization struck her: this was a dragon. Directly in front of her.
Rey ran towards it quickly. It was hurt, bleeding, and probably dying. She needed to help it, or at least give it a prayer before it passed. But as she approached, the creature hissed, and its coiled tail tightened. The tip of its tail was covered in layers of brown feathers, the longest feathers at the end. Rey back away, frightened, and kneeled to the creature, showing respect. She now realized the dragon was staring directly at her, its vicious yellow slitted eyes inspecting her inquisitively. Three sets of horns protruded out just behind its eyes, two equal in length, the front one significantly shorter. Its neck laid on the ground, limp like its limbs, and was curved towards its belly. Rey stared into the dragon's eyes hopefully. Would it recognize its worshippers?
Rey bowed her head and prayed quietly, "Thank you, great dragon, for all you do to protect our lands and your forest... I mean no harm to a creature as godly as you; I would like to help."
The dragon moved its head towards her, neck quivering as it strained to move. Its chin scraped in the dirt as it weakly lifted its neck, unable to completely lift its head. The dragon's nose brushed against her shoulder, her braids blowing in the gusts of the dragon's deep sniffs. Its head was as large as her torso, surely it could bite her arm off in a second if it wanted to. Instead, the dragon grunted and laid its head back down with a thud.
